Ah, Vaa

Can you play hookey if you're on sabbatical? If not, what do you call it when you take off a day of work to go yarn shopping? My haul from yesterday's visit to The Knit Knack with Cauchy09 included multiple skeins of Malabrigo (GK this is at least partly your fault) and a couple balls of Rowan Scottish Tweed Aran (hey, it was 40% off). Malabrigo colors are Alpine Pearl and Vaa (which everyone at the store was saying like Va-a-a-a-ah, and it's true, you look at this yarn and think Ah-a-a-a-a-a-ah, Va-a-a-a-a-a-ah). I think these will all be used for Christmas gifts. If I can resist the urge to knit them into things for me.

The Malabrigo is so luscious, you won't be able to part with it. It practically knits itself. For the record, I, queen of the UFO's, have only one fingerless mitt in Malabrigo that's unfinished. Every other project, done and gifted before I could keep it myself.

Anyway, I heard Cauchy09 played her part in the enabling--so I take no responsibility for the VISA bill at the end of the month.

PS When is CMR going to meet us at Knit Knack?
